Internships, Work-study and V.I.E. (Volunteer for International Experience)
Cegedim reserves a special place on its teams for the employees of the future. To this end, every year the Group and its subsidiaries develop partnerships with schools, regularly taking on interns and students to train in every aspect of the company: the sciences, IT, bio-medical, support functions, HR, finance, quality control, secretarial, etc.
At forums, conferences and even by teaching classes, Cegedim is involved daily in students’ career search.
As a result, every year dozens of people recruited within the framework of official internships, apprenticeships, professional training contracts, and V.I.E. assignments begin working for Cegedim.
WORK-STUDY CONTRACTS
In 2010, 23 interns began work-study contracts at Cegedim, which is still actively recruiting.
Work-study participants receive the training offered by their training center, and within the Group they are paired with a mentor who works or has worked in a similar position. The mentor coordinates their activities throughout their time with the company.
The interns usually join the company as employees once their work-study contract is over to pursue the career they began as interns.
Among the advantages for the interns:
- Work-study combines theoretical learning with practical experience; it also gives them time to learn the company’s culture and what it takes to be a professional.
- The training is paid for by the company and the intern receives a salary and some or all of the benefits that come with employment at the company.
V.I.E: VOLUNTEER FOR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Since 2008 Cegedim has been offering V.I.E. assignments in Japan and the USA to young talents who are rapidly autonomous and ready to take on responsibility.
As a senior year internship or first professional experience, V.I.E. is an excellent tool for gaining international experience. It offers a real career opportunity for interns who want to travel and are interested in cultural exchange.
