Each year, more than 150,000 healthcare professionals worldwide participate in CSD’s panels. The data collected on the various promotional investments made by companies are updated on a monthly or quarterly basis. Patient Data
Longitudinal patient data offers a comprehensive approach to treatment behaviour, both office and hospital-based.
These observational studies are carried out using real and anonymous data from CSD’s Longitudinal Patient Database (LPD). The data is collected through our practice management software which is installed in the physician’s offices. Information collected in this manner opens up a large range of possibilities for studies: monitoring of market changes, product performance follow-up in particular during the launch phase, opportunity segments, patient cohorts, drug utilisation studies, epidemiological and economic studies, overview of prescribing behaviour, etc... CSD currently owns 9 longitudinal patient databases worldwide.
Medical Research
CSD recently enhanced its medical research capabilities (in particular for hospitals and oncology), when it merged its Pharmaco-epidemiological activities with 3ES, a CRO (Contract Research Organization).
With its Longitudinal Patient Databases and its web-based patient data collection tool INES© (E-CRF), CSD is equipped to respond to pharmaceutical companies’ medical research questions whether they be clinical trials, epidemiological, economic or observational studies.
Communication Follow-up
Communication Follow-up offers clients a full view of market communications, both with general reports or in depth analysis, on all the major therapeutic areas. With these studies CSD’s clients can measure their sales force performance, evaluate how their messages are recalled and estimate the impact of their communications on prescriptions.
CSD has carried out more than 3000 recall studies over the past ten years. CSD’s Communication Follow-Up reports are adapted to the specific needs of each client, and deal with product communications and its changes over time, allowing for strategic adjustments to strategies and communications campaigns, if necessary.
