The principal ways Cegedim can reduce its impact are to

• Buy recycled products
• Optimize the life cycle of manufactured products through end-of-life management for certain products, such as paper, cardboard, IT equipment, cartridges, etc.
• Manage the fleet of Group vehicles
• Manage business travel

  To comply with local health and safety regulations, Cegedim has implemented various global and local initiatives to reduce its environmental impact.

The key accomplishments of the Cegedim Compact involve

• Evaluating the environmental practices of Cegedim Group wordlwide subsidiaries
• Creating a sustainable development logo and a suggestion box
• Employee awareness campaigns via Group or local initiatives
• Data center virtualization
• Purchasing more energy efficient new-generation computers
• Implementing a travel policy
• Developing long-distance communication tools
• Supplying 100% of the corporate headquarters’ energy needs with renewables
• And numerous pragmatic initiatives at the local level aimed at reducing energy consumption and promoting recycling and the purchase of recycled products

Examples

• More than 100 employee suggestions have been processed, notably from France, India, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Russia, Italy and the US
• 35 sites are equipped with video-conferencing stations
